9.6.1 Instructions on using screw lock-

9. Clean the fill opening screw plug, replace the seal ring and screw it back in. Max. tight-
ening torque: 8 Nm (5.9 ft·lb)!
10.Reapply corrosion protection: Seal screw plug, e.g. with Sikaflex.
The following components are checked for wear and damage as part of general mainte-
nance:

Motor bearing
ƒ
Gear bearing and planetary gear speed
ƒ
Propeller
ƒ
Shaft seals
ƒ
O-rings
ƒ
Connection cable
ƒ
Attached accessories
Damaged components are replaced with original parts. This will ensure correct operation.
The general overhaul is performed by the manufacturer or an authorized service center.
WARNING
The propeller blade has sharp edges!
Sharp edges can form on the propeller blades. There is a risk of limbs being severed. Wear
safety gloves to protect against cuts.
WARNING
Hand, foot or eye injuries due to a lack of protective equipment!
During work there is a risk of (serious) injury. Wear the following protective equipment:
• Safety gloves that protect against cuts
• Safety shoes
• Closed safety goggles
The following pre-requisites must be fulfilled prior to starting repair work:

Mixer cooled to ambient temperature.
ƒ
Mixer disconnected from the power supply and secured against being activated inadver-
tently.
ƒ
Mixer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected (if required).
For repair work, the following generally applies:
ƒ
Immediately collect dripping fluid and operating fluids!
ƒ
Always replace O-rings, gaskets and screw locking devices!
ƒ
Observe the tightening torques in the appendix!
ƒ
Never use force when carrying out this work!
A screw locking method can be used on the screws. Ex-factory, the screws are locked using
two different methods:
ƒ
Thread-locking fluid
ƒ
Mechanical screw locking device
Always replace the screw locking device!
Thread-locking fluid
When using thread-locking fluid, opt for a medium-strength product (e.g. Loctite 243). This
type of compound can be loosened with increased force. If the screw cannot be loosened,
