4 5000TOCi Sensor Installation and Start-up continued
58 091 552) is required. Flush sample tubing before installing at the sensor. Close the
isolation valve. Attach the other end of the PTFE tubing to the sample conditioning coil then
attach the sample conditioning coil to the high capacity inlet filter.
Connect the stainless steel drain tube (Thornton p/n 58 091 553) as shown in Figure 1
and direct outlet to an atmospheric drain.
Introduce Sample Flow
Slowly open the sample point isolation valve (not supplied), to start flow to the sensor.
Allow approximately 3-5 minutes for the sensor to fill, and observe flow at the drain tube.
Once there is flow, check that there are no leaks inside the sensor enclosure. Allow the
sensor to initially flush with sample water (4-24 hours is recommended). Close front cover
and connect the M800 patch cable to the connector on the bottom left side of enclosure.

WARNING: MAIN POWER MUST EMPLOY A SWITCH OR CIRCUIT BREAKER AS
THE DISCONNECTING DEVICE FOR THE EQUIPMENT. THE BREAKER SHOULD
BE PROPERLY LABELED AND EASILY ACCESSIBLE FOR SYSTEM ISOLATION BY
SERVICE PERSONNEL. THE CIRCUIT BREAKER SHALL HAVE A MAXIMUM OF
20 AMP RATING.
Two fittings are provided on the left side of the enclosure: the AC Power bulkhead fitting
for power cable, and the M800 patch cable connection. Feed the power cable through the
bulkhead fitting on the side-wall. Line and Neutral AC power connections are positioned
on the right side of the printed circuit board. The AC Ground connection is provided on
a grounding plate located at the inside-top of the sensor door. See Figure 3 for terminal
wiring. Ensure line fuse is properly installed. See product label for specified fuse size.
