Technical Data and Further Information

The most important technical data such as supply voltage are given on the name plate either
outside or inside the transmitter housing. For further technical data such as accuracy refer to
the Operation Manual. This document, the Operation Manual and software are on the supplied
CD-ROM. You can also download the documentation via Internet "www.mt.com/M300".

Mounting

The M300 transmitter is available as ½ DIN and ¼ DIN version.
For installation drawings refer to the Operation Manual.

DANGER! Mortal danger by electric shock or risk of electrical shock: The maximum screw-
in depth of the mounting holes in the housing is 12 mm (0.47 inch). Do not exceed maximum
screw-in depth.
1. ½ DIN only: Mount the supplied cable glands at the housing.
2. Mount the transmitter. You have the following possibilities:
– Panel mounting: ½ DIN and ¼ DIN version
– Wall mounting: ½ DIN
– Pipe mounting: ½ DIN

Electrical Connection

DANGER! Mortal danger by electric shock: Power off instrument during electrical connection.
1. Switch off supply voltage.
2. Connect mains supply to the terminals L, N, and (Ground).
3. 1-channel version: Connect sensor to terminal block TB3.
2-channel version: Connect sensor either to terminal block TB3 or TB4.
4. Connect analog output and digital input signals to terminal block TB2 (TB2A, TB2B).
5. Connect relay output signals to terminal block TB1.
