Operation

Requirements for safe use

– You have read the chapter "Safety" on
page 5 and have understood all the
safety instructions.
– The appliance has been installed and
connected as described in the chapter
"Start-up" - 20.

Switching the appliance on/off

NOTE
The improper handling of the
appliance may cause damage.
Only use the interior lighting to
illuminate the inside of the
appliance. It is not suitable as
room lighting.
You can use the temperature regulator (3)
to
switch
the
appliance
temperature regulator is located on the
right wall of the refrigerator compartment
and is continuously adjustable.
Switching on the appliance
1. Set the temperature regulator (3) to a
setting between "1" and "7". The
appliance is thereby switched on. The
compressor will then begin to function,
the refrigerant will flow though the pipes
and you will hear a quiet continuous
noise.
The interior lighting switches on as soon
as
the door is opened and switches off
when the door is closed.
2. If the appliance makes disturbing
noises, make sure it is stable remove
any objects resting on the appliance.
Switching off the appliance
1. Set the temperature regulator (3) to
"0".
The compressor is thereby switched off.
The appliance will no longer refrigerate.
2. To switch of the appliance completely,
pull out the power plug.
3. Clear out and clean the appliance (see
"Care and maintenance" on page 46).
4. Leave the door open slightly so that no
mould forms.

Setting the temperature

The appliance may not function
properly if it is exposed to an
excessively
temperature for a long period. A
temperature
refrigerator
compartments may result.
Always
on/off.
The
prescribed ambient temperature
(see "Climate classes" on page
59).
You can use the temperature regulator (3)
to set the temperature in the refrigerator
and freezer compartments.
• First select a medium setting.
• If the ambient temperature increases,
e.g. in the summer, select a higher
setting accordingly.
