13. Transport and storage

The travflex™ 2 lifeline, purpose of this manual, must

• If an anchor device is dirty, it must be cleaned with

When disposing of the product, it is mandatory to
recycle the various components by sorting the metallic

materials must be recycled by specialised organisations.
Dismantling for separation of the components must be
carried out by a competent person during disposal.
"IMPORTANT": in a fall arrest system, to ensure
safety, it is absolutely necessary to check the free
space required under the operator at the place of work
each time prior to use of the system. In the event of a
fall, there must be no collision with the ground or any
obstacles along the fall path.
15.1. Of the lifeline
"IMPORTANT": in all cases where the system
is used, you must combine the fall clearance of
the travflex™ 2 lifeline (fig. 30, item F) and the fall
clearance recommended by the manufacturer of the
fall arrester used. The fall clearance of the travflex™ 2
lifeline is calculated in accordance with its total length,
the lengths between the anchors and the maximum
number of operators authorised as specified on the
nameplate (F).
The total clearance space T(m) required for safe use of
the travflex™ 2 lifeline is calculated using the following
formula (Fig. 30):
With:
F : travflex™ 2 clearance space indicated on the sign
plates placed at each access to the lifeline.
F1 : Fall arrestor clearance space.
