risk of damage (sharp edges, direct source of heat, chemical
products, UV, ...). See figure 5c.

12 - Compliance of equipment

equipment described in this manual,
• is compliant with the requirements of European Directive
89/686/CEE dated December 1989.
• is identical to the PPE covered by the CE type examination
certificate issued by APAVE SUDEUROPE SAS - CS 60193 -
13322 Marseille - France, identified by number 0082, and tested
in accordance with standard EN 361 dated 2002, EN 358 dated
1999 and EN 813 dated 2008.
• is subject to the procedure referred to in Art. 11B of Directive
89/686/CEE, under the control of a notified organisation:
APAVE SUDEUROPE SAS - CS 60193 - 13322 Marseille -
France, identified by number 0082.
13 - Periodic inspections
and repairs
IMPORTANT: An annual overhaul is required; however,
depending on the frequency of use, the environmental
conditions and the regulations applicable in the company
or country of use, periodic inspections may be required on
a more frequent bases.
The periodic inspections must be carried out by a qualified
person, belonging or not, to the company and in observance of
the Tractel
SAS inspection procedures.

Check the legibility of the markings on the product when
performing the periodic inspection.
Return to service of the equipment is the responsibility of the
inspecting technician and must be authorised in writing.
ENTER INFORMATION ON CONTROL SHEET
Enter the information on the detachable control sheet
located on the central page of this manual. This sheet,
or the result of the inspection, must be registered or
archived in the company's safety register (refer to work
legislation obligations of country of use of harness).
NOTE: The harnesses come under a category of
products which are not repairable. Any harness
showing any minor apparent damage must be
destroyed.
14 - Service life
of textile products
The service life of the textile products is 10 years as of the date of
manufacture provided they have been used and maintained in
strict observance of the instructions given in this manual.
After the 10-year period following the date of manufacture, the
equipment must be inspected by a qualified technician who can
then authorise return to service in writing if appropriate.
