rope.
• Insofar  as  is  possible,  the  structural  anchor  point
should be above the operator. The anchor point must
present a minimum resistance of 12 kN.
• The connection to an anchor point or to the structure
must be achieved using an EN 362 connector.
• To connect the work position securing lanyard to the
work position support belt, please refer to the support
belt  manual  in  order  to  use  the  correct  connection
point and the correct attachment method.
To  use  this  equipment,  follow  the  instructions
hereinafter:
• It  is  mandatory  to  position  the  lanyard  around  a
tubular  support  or  another  structure  before  starting
to climb.
• Check that the connectors are fully locked.
• Adjust the length of the lanyard so that any free fall
is limited to 0.5 m. The adjustment should be done
with  the  lanyard  under  tension,  as  the  automatic
tensioner  has  been  designed  to  work  with  the
lanyard under tension.
• The lanyard should never be positioned at a height
lower than the operator's abdomen (fi   gure 2.b).
Before and during use, you should consider how
any  rescue  could  be  provided  effectively  and
safely  within  a  period  of  less  than  15  minutes.
Beyond this time the operator is in danger.
