• Insofar as is possible, the structural anchor point
should be above the operator. The anchor point must
present a minimum resistance of 12 kN.
• The connection to an anchor point or to the structure
must be achieved using an EN 362 connector.
• To connect the work position securing lanyard to the
work position support belt, please refer to the support
belt manual in order to use the correct connection
point and the correct attachment method.
To use this equipment, follow the instructions
hereinafter:
• It is mandatory to position the lanyard around a
tubular support or another structure before starting
to climb.
• Check that the connectors are fully locked.
• Adjust the length of the lanyard so that any free fall
is limited to 0.5 m. The adjustment should be done
with the lanyard under tension, as the automatic
tensioner has been designed to work with the
lanyard under tension.
• The lanyard should never be positioned at a height
lower than the operator's abdomen (fi gure 2.b).
Before and during use, you should consider how
any rescue could be provided effectively and
safely within a period of less than 15 minutes.
Beyond this time the operator is in danger.

10. Maintenance and storage
If a work position securing lanyard is dirty, it should be
washed in clear, cold water with a delicates detergent
if necessary. Use a synthetic brush.
If during use or washing a work position securing
lanyard has been wetted, you must let it dry naturally
in the shade and away from any heat source.
During transport and storage, protect the equipment
in waterproof and hazard proof packaging (direct heat
source, chemicals, ultra violet, etc.).
