Switching on and off

1. To switch on, push the pressure point
on the on/off switch (5a) downwards
and slide the on/off switch (5) for-
wards. The tool turns on and starts. To
engage the tool, push the on/off switch
(5) forwards.
2. To switch off, push the pressure point
on the on/off switch to allow you to tilt
the on/off switch (5) downwards.
The tool will switch off.
After switching on the device, wait until the
device has reached its max. speed. Only
then should you start with the work.
The disc still runs even after
the device has been switched
off. Risk of injury.
Trial run:
Always carry out a trial run before carry-
ing out your first grinding procedure and
after every disc replacement. Switch the
device off immediately if the grinding disc
is not rotating smoothly, if considerable
vibration occurs or if you hear abnormal
noises.

Practical tips

Cutting disc:
Never use a scrubbing wheel
for cutting !

Only certified, fibre-reinforced cutting or
grinding discs may be used.
In general, work with small scrubs. Exert
only moderate pressure on the workpiece.
Always work in the counter-direction. This
ensures that the device is not pushed out of
the cut through lack of control.
Cutting of stone materials:
• It is best to use a diamond cutting disc
to cut stone materials. Make sure in
any case that the cutting disc is suitable
and labelled for your application.
• When cutting stone materials, ensure
that there is sufficient dust extraction.
• Wear a dust protection mask.
• The device may only be used for dry
cutting/dry grinding.
Information on building statics:
Slits in structural walls are subject to the
standard DIN 1053 Part 1 or country-
specific regulations. These regulations must
be observed without fail. Before begin-
ning work you should ask the structural
engineer, architect or relevant construction
supervisor for advice.
Scrubbing wheels:
Never use a cutting wheel for
scrubbing !
Exert only moderate pressure on the work-
piece. Move the device evenly back and
forth.
A working angle of 30° to 40° achieves
the best results for scrub grinding.
