Elimination of the surface charge
If the vehicle was running immediately before the test or the battery was charged, the battery probably has
a surface charge. The device may prompt you to remedy this surface charge before the start of the test:
Follow the instructions on the device display:
Battery installed
SURFACE CHARGE
IN VEHICLES? YES
Battery removed
SURFACE CHARGE
IN VEHICLES? NO
The test will be continued as soon as the tester detects that the surface charge has been remedied.
