Figure 0-1: ESU System
Principles of Operation
Two thermocouples are located at each of the Probe electrodes. These
thermocouples measure the temperature at the electrode. The
temperature signals from the electrodes are analyzed, and RF current is
distributed to selected electrodes to maintain the ESU operator set
temperature.
Note: In this manual the Model 604-4810B/604-4810BR/604-4811B/604-
4811BR COBRA
Figure 1-1 are referred to as the 'System', the Model 604-4810B/604-
4810BR/604-4811B/604-4811BR Electrosurgical Unit alone is referred to as
the 'ESU' and the various COBRA
'Probe'.
