6. Installation and Start-up
6.1 Packaging
Once the equipment is unpacked, visually check that it is in good conditions.
Keep the package for some time just in case you will need it.
6.2 Location
Place the equipment on a flat, level, stable and adequate surface to the
equipment's weight, keeping a space of about 25cm from the wall, to allow
ventilation and movement of the equipment.
Level the equipment if necessary, by using the four adjustable level rubber
bumpers on the stirrer base.
Please bear in mind the equipment weight already loaded, to determine the
weight the table must support.
6.3 Connections to the mains
Before plugging the equipment, check that the voltage supply and the frequen-
cy corresponds to the one indicated in the equipment characteristics plate.
For your safety, the equipment must be earthed.
If you change the plug, bear in mind the following:
Blue cable:
Brown cable:
Yellow/Green cable: Earth.
The audible alarm of power failure is activated during the first connection of
the shaker to the mains.
For a correct operation, the equipment connection voltage must be ±10%
of nominal voltage. To avoid problems and failures, it is important that the
USB
equipment works within these margins.
The incubator open door detector that works on the platelet agitator must
be connected to it by means of the cable from the back side, as shown in
the pictures.
Under these conditions, when the incubator door is opened, agitation is
interrupted to facilitate loading and unloading work.
