Annual checks regarding art. 24 of decree dated 9
 Magfor magnet lifters used in manufactory, covered by article L.231-1 of the
working code, must be checked each year (in accordance with article R. 233-11).
This annual control must include all necessary examinations in order to detect any
damage or potential problems which could cause dangerous situations.
 Check if equipment doesn't have any deformation, fissures or other defaults. If
upper hooking ring has more than 10 % wear it must be replaced.
 Check active poles condition. If they have defaults, they must be cleaned or
corrected by your supplier. Then control lifting capacity of the magnet lifter.
 Install the magnet on an ironed load in order to verify functioning and conditions of
the working lever.
 Verify good conditions and functioning of the lever and of the locking device :
ensure that the safety pin device quickly and easily returns to its initial position.
Check correct functioning of its spring.
 Check presence and legibility of signalling plate.
 Test lifting capacity respecting Manufacturer procedure. Lifting capacity with
manufacturer procedure must be superior to 3 times working load limit of the
magnet lifter.
 Note all controlled information on a register.

STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

 Ensure that lever is in the deactivated position.
 Lightly lubricate the poles in order to avoid corrosion and keep the magnet lifter in
a dry place.
Maintenance inspections and operations must be performed by qualified persons and
 Blow on the safety locking device in order to clean it.
 Replace the magnet lifter safety locking device and working lever as soon as any
problem is detected (see instructions here after).
 Remove flashes and surface defaults of the active poles using abrasive paper or a
soft file. Il the active poles have big defaults, they must be corrected by your
supplier. Then test lifting capacity respecting Manufacturer procedure. Lifting
capacity with manufacturer procedure must be superior to 3 times working load
limit of the magnet lifter.
 Any piece with defaults must be replaced by TRACTEL SOLUTIONS spare parts
(see attachment)
 Any deformed equipment must be immediately replaced.
 In case of any doubt, Tractel Solutions SAS propose free expertise and proposal in
its workshop.
TRACTEL SOLUTIONS SAS declines all responsibility for the consequences of
dismantling or altering the machine by any unauthorized person. Specially excluded is
the replacement of original parts by parts of another manufacturer.
