12. Never use your hands to push the food through the food chute. Always use
the food pusher.
13. Do not place salad chef on or near hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
14. Make sure the salad chef is OFF before plugging the power supply cord into
the wall outlet. To disconnect the salad chef, switch to OFF before removing
the plug from the wall outlet. NEVER leave the salad chef connected to the
power outlet when not in use.
15. Avoid contact with moving parts.
16. NOTE: Shredding and slicing cones are sharp! Handle carefully. Always use
caution when washing the cones.
17. To avoid personal injury, keep hands and utensils out of the salad chef and
away from shredding and slicing cones during operation.
18. NOTE: The salad chef should not run for more than 30 seconds continuously.
After 30 seconds, allow 1-2 minutes to cool down. If it overheats it will cut out
automatically and reset when sufficiently cool.
19. CAUTION: If the salad chef stops during continuous shredding or slicing, an
ingredient may be stuck or overloaded within mechanism or cone. Unplug the
appliance, take the cone and the feed chute off the motor base and free the
food from each piece. Return the feed chute and then cone to the motor unit
and continue.
