The appliance is not

lamp 2 goes on and
off again at frequent
intervals .
The red "Power"
control lamp 4 does
not lights up .

Cause
The plug is not connected to the mains
power .
The mains power socket is defective .
The appliance is defective .
The appliance is maintaining the tempera-
ture . To do this, the appliance has to heat
up briefly every so often . The green control
lamp 2 goes out while the appliance is
heating up .
The appliance is defective .
The solution
Insert the plug into a mains
power socket .
Use a different mains power
socket .
