Assembly and setting up
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!

Never place the appliance beneath wall
cabinets or adjacent to curtains, wall units or
other flammable objects .
►
Always place the appliance on a heat-resistant
surface .
1) Remove all of the parts from the box and
remove the packaging material and any
protective film .
2) Clean all components as described in the section
"Cleaning and Care" . Ensure that all parts are
completely dry .
3) Place the appliance on a clean and level heat-
resistant surface . Do not place the appliance
directly next to a wall or a cupboard .
4) Push the fat drip tray 5 into the slot in the front
of the appliance (see also fold-out page) .
Before first use
1) Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth .
2) Close the appliance .
3) Insert the plug into a mains socket . The red
"Power" control lamp 4 lights up . The appliance
heats up .
NOTE
►
Once the appliance has heated up, the green
"Ready" control lamp 2 also lights up .
However, the lamp may go out and switch
back on again at any time . This means that
the appliance is maintaining the temperature
and has heated up again a little .
4) Wait for 5 minutes .
5) Then pull out the plug and allow the appliance
to cool down .

NOTE
►
The first time the appliance heats up, a small
amount of smoke and odour may be gener-
ated due to production-related residue . This
is normal and is completely harmless . Ensure
sufficient ventilation; for example, by opening
a window .
6) Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth after

7) Clean the fat drip tray 5 as described in the
section "Cleaning and Care" .
8) Ensure that all parts are completely dry before
operating the device .
The appliance is now ready for use .
Preparing the burger patties
Using the supplied burger press, consisting of
the burger stamp 6 and burger ring 7 you can
prepare your own burger patties:
1) Place the burger ring 7 with the rounded edge
facing upwards on a level and hygienically
clean surface .
2) Fill the burger ring 7 with around 100 to
150 grams of burger meat (e .g . mince or tofu) .
3) Push the burger stamp 6 into the burger ring 7 .
4) Remove the finished burger patty from the
burger ring 7 .
Operation

The appliance is extremely hot during use!
For this reason, do not touch anything but the
handle 3 during use! Use oven gloves if you
need to take hold of the appliance .
1) Now close the lid .
