9.2 First start-up checks: wheel gear for track
vehicles
Before starting the vehicle check that all the oil levels
are correct.
- For the wheel gear units, check that the operating
pressure of the hydraulic circuit (see table) is suffi-
cient to fully open the multi-disc brake to avoid
overheating and any premature wear of brake discs.

9.4 No-load tests:
- After a brief period of operation (2-3 minutes) with the wheels
raised, check the oil levels, topping up those levels which have
gone down and check that all nuts and bolts of the various
attachments are properly tightened (see paragraph 9..4.).
- Check that the wheels rotate in the proper direction.
- Check that the parking brakes (and service brakes) lock and
release at the right time and all operate correctly.
- Check that the pressure of the braking circuit fully opens the
parking brakes to avoid overheating and premature wear of
the brake discs.
