against the head of the stud bolts because this would
ruin the thread but may also cause them to come
out of their seats, thus making it more difficult to mount the
wheel rim.
Once the stud bolts have entered the rim holes, to push
the wheel rim into its seat, pry under and lift it a few mm to
prevent the rim from sliding on the threads of the stud bolts
and damaging them.

8.2 Wheel rim tightening:

To tighten the wheel rims onto Brevini gear units, use only "DIN
7.4.361 - H - 10" type nuts such as those supplied together with
the gear units, applying a torque to those nuts at the value
reported in the "Bolt Torque Setting Table" (see paragraph 9..3).
ATTENTION: these torque settings must be checked after
the vehicle has traveled a short distance.

9. CHECKS

ATTENTION: Given the type of brake, the operating pressure
should never drop below the minimum brake opening pres-
sure to avoid the braking action.
ATTENTION: The gear units are shipped without oil.
The customer is responsible for filling such devices
(see lubrication chapter 7.).
9.1 First start-up checks: wheel gear for tyred
vehicles
Before starting the machine check that all the oil levels are
correct.
- For the wheel gear units with a multi-disc brake, check that
the operating pressure of the hydraulic circuit (see table on
the right) is sufficient to fully open the multi-disc brake to avoid
overheating and any premature wear of brake discs.
