13.4 Helix test

It is a physical test (spare code 267-S) enabling to verify steam penetration capability into
hollow loads. For the test a standardized system is used which complies with the technical
standards in force.

13.5 Vacuum test
It is a chamber leak test or a vacuum leak test. This test aims at verifying that during the
cycle no air infiltration takes place through the chamber seals (gaskets, valves, etc...)

Put the test device into the
empty chamber.

test device end cap, then
position the test device on the
central tray of the autoclave.
Perform the suitable cycle,
indicated in the
display, then remove the test
device, open the cap and
check the indicator strip colour
change.
There is no preset testing interval, apart from areas to which specific
regional regulations apply. Hence in order to constantly monitor the
autoclave performance, it is advisable to perform the test at least once
every 30 days.
Perform the test with empty chamber. Select the suitable cycle indicated on
the autoclave display. The cycle is enabled. The autoclave automatically
performs the cycle by complying with precise technical procedures. Then
the final result is printed out through the printer connection.
The test result is immediate and is printed by the printer which prints out all
the values relating to the performed cycle as well as the final assessment.
