Cleaning the valves
• Clean the valves every 150 working hours by following these instructions:
Drive valve
• Remove the guard (13).
• Remove the lever (12).
• Unscrew the caps (17) with the wrench supplied or with a gripper for snap rings.
• Gently pull out the valves (18).
• Blow compressed air onto the valves and their seats.
Reassemble the parts by following the instructions in reverse.
After cleaning the valve, check the safety catch (11) for proper functioning.
Never use the tool without first installing the guard or if the safety catch is off.
Removing the parts
When maintenance is required, remove the parts following these instructions:
Removing the guard (13)
• Loosen the screw (10).
• Pull off the snap ring (15) from the pliers provided.
Removing the control lever (12)
• Loosen the nut and remove the screw (14).
Removing the valve group (4)
• Remove the guard (13) and the lever (12).
• Place the body in a vice and loosen the ring nut (3).
• Unscrew the body with your hands.
Removing the connecting rod (6)
• Keeping the blades closed with your hand (always wear heavy gloves) put a 20 mm
ø pin (16) among the shear body, the connecting rod and the mobile blade.
• Drive off the rivet by using a punch.
Removing the blades (8)
• Remove the connecting rod pin (7).
• Remove the nut (24) and the pin (23).
• Loosen the screws (9).
Faults
The tool do not work
Check the compressor for proper functioning.
Check the position of the safety catch (11).
The tool do not have enough cutting power
Make sure the air supply hose is clean.
Check the pressure in the compressor unit.
Make sure the blade pivot pin (23) is not too tight.
Air leaks
Replace the seals even if only slightly damaged
1) With the safety catch on: check the seal (21).
2) With the safety catch off: check the seals.
3) Leaks from the ring nut (3): check the seals (19) (20).
