SECTION II: INSTALLATION AND
MAINTENANCE
II.1
PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION
II.1.1
TRANSPORT
DANGER!
DO NOT OPEN OR TAMPER WITH THE PACKAGING
BEFORE INSTALLATION.
The units should only be moved and lifted by
specialized personnel trained in these operations.
The units are shipped in cardboard boxes on pallets, in wooden crates
or on pallets with a nylon cover.
During transport avoid stacking packages that are not of the same model.
The following components are supplied with the machine:
• support brackets kit
• Electrical board
• user instructions;
• wiring diagram;
• warranty documents;
II.1.2
HANDLING
DANGER!
The off-centre position of the centre of gravity
could give rise to sudden and dangerous
movements. Movement of the unit should be
performed with care, in order to avoid damage to
the external structure and to the internal
mechanical and electrical components. Also make
sure that there are no obstacles or people blocking
the route, to avoid the danger of collisions or
crushing or of the lifting device turning over.
Use suitable work gloves to avoid injury from sharp
parts (e.g. finned coils)
Lifting of the unit can be performed with a forklift for models with up to
four fans with a diameter of D=500.
For models with a diameter of D=630-910 there are brackets for vertical
lifting.
In the version with vertical air flow, there is an eyelet for lifting.
The weights of the units in the various versions are shown in the
enclosures of this manual.
II.1.3
INSPECTION ON DELIVERY
DANGER!
Do not install the unit if there are any doubts about
damage which may have occurred during transport.
Check the condition of the unit carefully upon receiving the goods; any
damage which occurred during transport must immediately be pointed
out to the carrier.
Parts to be carefully checked:
• damage to the finned package (breakage of pipes, crushed fins)
• bent refrigeration attachments (check that there are no breaks of the
pipes between the collectors and the coil)
• external components (fan support panel, side closing panels, fan).
II.1.4
DISPOSAL OF PACKAGING
ENVIRONMENTAL SAFEGUARD!
Dispose of the packaging materials in compliance
with the national or local legislation in force in your
country.
DANGER!
Do not leave the packaging within reach of children.
II.1.5
STORAGE CONDITIONS
Temperature limits for storage are:
• Minimum temperature: -10°C
• Maximum temperature: +45°C
II.2
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER!
Installation must only be carried out by qualified
technicians, trained to work with air-conditioning
and refrigeration systems. Incorrect installation
could lead to the unit malfunctioning and a
consequent deterioration in performance.
DANGER!
The unit must be installed according to national or
local rules in force at the time of installation. If the
installed unit is accessible to persons below 14
years of age, use protective grilles or other devices

to prevent all possibility of contact.
Use suitable work gloves to avoid injury from sharp
parts (e.g. finned coils)
II.2.1
POSITIONING, CLEARANCE
IMPORTANT!
Incorrect positioning or installation of the unit may
amplify noise levels and vibrations generated
during operation.
All units are provided with feet for vertical installation. Kits of feet for
horizontal installation are also furnished with the units.
