MACHINE DESCRIPTION

I.1.1

INTENDED CONDITIONS OF USE

The CCAM 105÷2130 units are remote condensers to be used in
conjunction with evaporator units that operate with R407C ecological
gas.
The CCAM units are designed for cooling and conditioning systems
which operate with coolants that do not corrode copper. Their
application is foreseen with evaporator units of the TCEE 105÷2130
series.
Installation of the remote condenser is to be outdoors with either a
horizontal or vertical air flow.
The remote condensers of the CCAM 105÷2130 series are available in
3 construction options that meet the different system requirements
concerning ambient noise emission:
• Version N normal (except models 105 and 115)
• Version S silenced.
• Super Q super-silenced.
The units conform to the following directives:
• Machine Directive 89/392/CE (MD);
• Low voltage Directive 73/23/CE (LVD);
• Electromagnetic compatibility Directive 89/336/CE (EMC);
• Pressure equipment Directive 97/23/CE (PED).
DANGER!
The unit is designed for outdoor installation.
Segregate the unit if installed in areas accessible to
persons under 14 years of age.
DANGER!
Do not introduce pointed objects through the air
delivery intake grilles.
IMPORTANT!
The unit will function correctly only if the
instructions for use are scrupulously followed, if
the specified clearances are complied with during
installation and if the operating restrictions
indicated in this manual are strictly adhered to.
IMPORTANT!
Non-compliance with the recommended clearances
during installation will cause the unit to function
inefficiently with an increase in power consumption
and a considerable reduction in cooling (or heating)
power.
DANGER!
Beware of the hot surfaces inside the machine.
I.1.2

MACHINE IDENTIFICATION

The units include a serial number plate which includes machine
identification data. It is located on the fan side of the unit.
I.1.3

FEATURES

Heat exchanger: with high-efficiency finned coil, mechanically expanded
copper pipes on aluminium fins, tested in compliance with current
standards. The connections are to be brazed.
The units are supplied pressurized with nitrogen.
Electrical axial-type fans with external rotors; rotating body of motor and
fan blades with aerodynamic configuration that guarantees quiet
operation and high performance. The electrical fans are also speed-
adjustable (by means of the PSC accessory of the TCEE 105÷2130
evaporator units) and are protected against overloads by magneto-
thermal switches.
Structure in pre-painted galvanized sheet metal with epoxy finish, RAL
9002.
The remote condensers come equipped with a support bracket kit for
vertical/horizontal air flow. The support brackets are made of AISI 304
stainless steel or galvanized steel, with the length that is best suited for
allowing uniform air intake in the coil.
Motor electrical work in compliance with standard VDE 0530/12.84.
Degree of protection IP 54, in accordance EN 60529
I.1.4

ELECTRICAL BOARD

Electrical board complying with IEC standards. Sealed box with degree
of protection IP55, RAL 7032 complete with:
• Electrical wiring set up for V230-1-50 power supply for model
CCAM 105;
• Electrical wiring set up for V400-3-50 power supply for models
CCAM 115÷2130;
• General isolator with door interlock on the power supply;
• Power contactors.
• Magneto-thermal switch
• Indicator lights and remotely-controllable alarms.
I.1.5

OPERATING LIMITS R407C

• The units were designed to be used in conjunction with evaporator
units of the TCEE series.
• If the correct matching between the TCEE and CCAM models is
respected, then the following operating limits concerning the external
temperature can be considered acceptable:
• +45°C ÷ +20°C if the evaporating unit is without the optional PSC
accessory.
• +45°C ÷ -10°C if the evaporating unit is equipped with the optional
PSC accessory.
I.1.6

SAFETY INFORMATION

DANGER!
Always install a general automatic switch in a
protected area near the appliance with a
characteristic delayed curve, with sufficient
capacity and breaking power. There should be a
minimum distance of 3 mm between the contacts.
Earth connection is compulsory by law to ensure
user safety while the machine is in use.
DANGER!
Electrical connections must be made in compliance
with current regulations and the wiring diagrams
supplied with the unit.
The safety door interlock automatically prevents electric power being
fed to the unit if the cover panel over the electrical panel is open.
I.1.7

INADMISSIBLE USES

DANGER!
Any use different from those set forth in the
paragraph "Intended conditions of use" is
expressly prohibited.
I.1.8
WARNINGS REGARDING POTENTIALLY
TOXIC SUBSTANCES
DANGER!
Carefully read the following information about the
refrigerants employed.
Adhere scrupulously to the warnings and first aid
procedures indicated below.
I.1.9
WARNINGS RELATING TO THE
REFRIGERANT GASES USED
DANGER!
Read carefully the following information about the
refrigerants employed. It constitutes an essential
reference in the event of a health emergency.
