5.1 Switching the baby unit on
and off
The baby unit 1 will switch on automatically
as soon as you have connected the mains
adapter and plugged it into the power
supply. You can subsequently switch the
baby unit on or off at any time:
• To switch the baby unit 1 on or off, press
the On/Off button 7.
5.2 Indicator LEDs
• The Power LED 9 lights up green while
the baby unit is switched on.
• The VOX LED 10 on the baby unit lights
up green when there is an established
connection between it and the parent
unit.
• The VOX LED 10 will not be lit while the
baby unit 1 is switched to Eco-Mode or if
it was not possible to set up a connection
to the parent unit.
5.3 Lullabies
This NUK babyphone has four especially
composed lullabies and soothing natural
sounds to help you soothe your baby and
lull it to sleep.
1. To activate the lullabies on the baby unit 1,
press the Lullabies on/off button 6.
Note: The lullabies can also be activated
from
the
parent
"6.8 Lullabies" on page 38).
2. You can change the current song by
holding
down
button 6. This automatically goes on to the
next song.
The previously selected lullaby will play in
a loop for about 20 minutes and will then
automatically switch off.
5.4 Nightlight
The baby unit's soft nightlight helps your
baby recognise things in the dark room,
which it finds soothing.

• You turn the nightlight on or off by briefly
pressing the Nightlight on/off button 8.
Notes:
– If you press and hold the Nightlight
on/off button 8, this activates the
Paging function (see "Call function of
parent unit" on page 34).
– The nightlight can also be activated
from
"6.9 Nightlight" on page 38).
5.5 Call function of parent unit
If you misplace the parent unit and are
unable to find it, you can use the "Paging"
function to search for it.
1. You activate the function by holding
down the Nightlight on/off button 8.
When the function has been activated,
the baby unit will beep once and the
parent unit will then begin to emit a
continuous series of beeps that will
enable you to locate it.
Notes:
– The parent unit emits these beeps at
the volume you previously selected
(see "6.4 Adjusting the volume control"
on page 36). If the volume is set to its
lowest level, then the beeps will also be
extremely quiet.
– If the parent unit is muted then it will
not emit any beeps; and the baby unit
(see
will emit a double beep to indicate this:
one beep: Search function has been
activated
two beeps: the search function cannot
be activated because there is currently
no connection to the parent unit. The
parent unit is either switched off, or out
of range, or currently muted.
2. You turn the function off either by again
pressing and holding the Nightlight on/
off button 8, or by pressing any of the
buttons on the located parent unit.
