6.8 Lullabies
To soothe baby to sleep, you can play
lullabies on the loudspeaker 2 of the baby
unit.
Note: You can alternatively switch the
lullabies on and off from the baby unit itself
(see "5.3 Lullabies" on page 34).
The previously selected lullaby will play in a
loop for about 20 minutes and the "Lullaby"
function will then automatically switch off.
1. You activate the function by briefly pressing
the Lullabies on/off button 21.
The first song will be played and
at the same time the musical note
symbol will appear on the display
15 of the parent unit.
A choice of four different lullabies and one
track of natural sounds are available.
2. You switch to the next song by holding
down the Lullabies on/off button 21.
The musical note symbol on the
display 15 will flash briefly and
then the next song will be
played.
3. You switch the function off by again
briefly pressing the Lullabies on/off
button 21.
The musical note symbol disappears.
Caution! We recommend that you do not
use the mute setting on the parent unit while
lullabies are being played, because this
would
leave
you
functions at all and quite unable to hear if
your baby cries.
Note: The five LEDs 19 are switched off
while lullabies are playing, because the
device cannot distinguish between a baby
crying and a lullaby being played, but you
will still be able to hear if your baby is crying
in the background.
Lullabies in Eco-Mode
Please note! There are a number of special
features while the babyphone is in Eco-
with
no
monitoring
Mode(see "4.5 Eco-Mode and FULL-ECO-
CONTROL" on page 32):
• The "Lullaby" function is temporarily
deactivated
inadvertently disturb baby.
In this case the musical note
symbol will flash while the FULL-
ECO-CONTROL
checks the connection between
the two units.
– To prevent the lullabies switching on
later, you can again press the Lullabies
on/off button 21 to immediately cancel
the function. The flashing symbol will
then disappear from the display.
– If you choose to switch the lullabies on
anyway, there may be a delay of up to
30 seconds before they begin. In Eco-
Mode, the activation command is not
transmitted until the next range check
is carried out (see "Range check in
Eco-Mode" on page 32).
6.9 Nightlight
The Nightlight function provides for a soft
dim light in the nursery.
Note: You can alternatively switch the
nightlight on and off from the baby unit itself
(see "5.4 Nightlight" on page 34).
1. You activate the function by briefly
pressing the Nightlight on/off button 23.
The nightlight 4 switches on.

2. You switch the function off by briefly
pressing the Nightlight on/off button 23
again.
The nightlight 4 switches off.
The lightbulb symbol disappears.
Nightlight in Eco-Mode
