2.6.2 General hazards in case safety instructions
are ignored
The Digital AED Transducer is state-of-the-art technology
and safe to operate. There may be a remaining risk in
case untrained personnel handles and operates the Digi­
tal AED Transducer inappropriately.
Therefore, each person who is commissioned with erect­
ing, commissioning or servicing any of the Digital AED
Transducer must have read and understood the assem­
bling instructions and, in particular, the safety-relevant
instructions.
S When selecting and operating equipment always pay
attention to the general rules of technology.
S Suitable precautions have to be taken to prevent not
permitted impairment.
S It has to be ensured that only such equipment is
installed which complies with the types of protection
applicable to the relevant zones!
S All connected electrical equipment has to be suitable
for the respective intended use.
S The operator has to ensure protection against light­
ning according to locally applicable regulations.
