HBM Digital AED Transducer is manufactured for use in
a high number of different industrial weighing platforms.
The Digital AED Transducer is made of alloy. Please note
that the Digital AED Transducer may corrode if they
come in contact with aggressive substances, in particular,
with salts containing chlorine. Thus additional precautions
may be necessary which need to be inspected at regular
intervals for their effectiveness.
The Digital AED Transducer can be used as follows with
taken into account the marking in the type label:
a) In Zone 2 (Gas Ex, EPL Gc) in explosion groups IIA,
IIB and IIC
b) In Zone 22 (Dust-Ex, EPL Dc) in explosion groups IIIA,
IIIB and IIIC
The permitted max. ambient temperature is
S -20 °C to 60 °C for EPL Gc
S -20 °C to 50 °C for EPL Dc

Description of the device
HBM digital AED Transducer are manufactured for use in
industrial weight platforms. AED converts the signals sup
plied by analog load cells into digital data.
The AED measurement chain consists of the following
3 components:
S The amplifier board AD103C
AD103C is a DC amplifier board for resistive transduc
ers. It is equally fit for dynamic and static applications
as checkweighers, multi-station combination weighers,
