wash the affected area with plenty of soap and water.

2.8 SAFE MAINTENANCE
To ensure safety when maintaining PONYBENCH
BTPLUS, the following instructions must be observed:
•
Do not remove or tamper with the safety devices.
•
Never weld, torch cut, or drill holes on the bench
structure.
•
Never operate the lift even if just one safety signs
is missing from the place where it was affi xed. The
safety or danger signs affi xed to the machine give
basic accident-prevention instructions. Always keep
these signs clean and replace them immediately when
they come off, even partly, or are damaged.
•
Always disconnect electric and/or pneumatic power
before doing any cleaning or maintenance work on
the vehicle lift.
•
Periodically check the tightening and seal of the
screws and couplings.
•
Always use the recommended oils.
•
Periodically check that the safety devices are in
perfect condition and work effi ciently.
•
The maintenance of the lift must be performed only
by qualifi ed and specialised personnel. Maintenance
must be performed with care by following the
instructions provided in this manual and replacing all
damaged or worn-out parts.
•
If parts of the lift have to be lifted, follow the procedures
and use the lifting and slinging accessories prescribed
by the regulations in force in the country of operation.
•
Traces of oil must be removed from the fl oor as soon
as they are noticed: they are very dangerous and may
cause people to fall.
•
Always use original spare parts for repairs and
maintenance.
•
Learn the instruction manual and keep it within easy
reach for the entire working life of the lift.
