8.4 LONG-TERM STORAGE

If laying up the machine for a long period, the following
operations must be carried out:
• Disconnect power sources
• Drain the tanks from their operating fl uids.
• Protect parts that could be damaged by dust.
• Grease parts that could be damaged by drying, such
as hydraulic or pneumatic fl exible pipes, etc.
When putting the machine back in service after laying-up,
look for any cracks or cuts in the hydraulic pipes and check
that the machine, in general, operates correctly.
Check the correct operation of the limit switch and the
safety hook stop.

8.5 SCRAPPING

If you decide not to use PONYBENCH BTPLUS any more,
you are advised to make it non-operational by emptying
the hydraulic oil in the tank of the pneumatic-hydraulic
pump, and in the lift activation jacks.
As the lift is considered special waste, dismantle it and
separate it into groups of uniform parts, disposing of them
according to the regulations in force in the country where
it is scrapped.
