5.1

Electrical installation

The supply voltage (L+ ... L–) is to be connected
between pin 1 and pin 3 on the plug (cf. section 9.2
on page 87). The nominal voltage is 24 V DC. This
voltage is allowed, as per EN 61 131-2, to fluctuate
between 19.2 V and 30 V with 5 % residual ripple.
The supply voltage must comply with SELV as per
EN 60 950-1.
For application and usage as per the requirements of
cULus, the supply voltage must be provided by a trans-
former with protected secondary:
a) either max. 5 A for voltages from 0 ... 20 Vrms
(0 ... 28.3 Vp)
b) or 100/Vp for voltages from 20 ... 30 Vrms
(28.3 ... 42.4 Vp).
A safe industrial power supply unit with overcurrent
protection is to be used. In case of error 60 V DC may
not be exceeded.
