3.2 – CONNECTIONS AND PLACING INTO SERVICE
With reference to Figure 1, for bench top models, and Figure 2 for floor
types, after positioning the appliance and checking that the main power
switch (1) is set to OFF, make the following connections:
- footpedal (2) to connector (3) on the rear of the appliance (bench top
models only)
- micromotor complete with handpiece (4) to connector (5) on the front
of the appliance (on the rear in the case of floor versions – see Fig. 2)
mains power cable, designed for connection to a mains socket outlet

with overcurrent protection devices.

DO NOT START THE APPLIANCE UNLESS THE FOOTPEDAL AND HANDPIECE ARE

CONNECTED DISCONNECT FOOTPEDAL AND HANDPIECE ONLY AFTER THE
APPLIANCE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY

N B DURING THE INITIAL PERIOD OF USE THE HANDPIECE MAY TEND TO
BECOME HOT DURING OPERATION
INITIAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE TRANSMISSION ELEMENTS AND WILL
DISAPPEAR WITHIN THE SPACE OF ABOUT ONE WEEK OF NORMAL USE
THE PROBLEM SHOULD PERSIST
