In the marked position, cut off the leftover of
O
the male and female cardan using a saw blade
with 24-tooth steel cutting teeth or cutting disc.
Wear protective gear to perform this operation.
After completing the full cut, mark the plastic
O
shield of the male and female cardan and
remove 1.2 in (3 cm) from the plastic shield
only, cutting with a saw, and leaving the cardan
shaft with the exposed tip as shown in Figure 2.
After performing the cutting procedure, remove
O
the burr from the cut parts, discard the material
and position the machine attached to the tractor
on the floor, so you have enough room to
mount the cardan shaft.
Secure the guard retaining chains.
O
The optimal operating condition is achieved
O
with the chained positioned radially in relation
to the transmission. Adjust the length of the
chains so that the transmission can be pivoted
under any working, transport and maneuvering
conditions. Make sure that the chains do not
wrap around the transmission due to oversize.
Before starting to work, check the PTO speed
O
(the speed should not exceed 540 rpm). Also
check the tilt and make sure the machine is
positioned on the ground to avoid damage to
the shredder and loss of warranty.

Notes:
The pieces cut from the solid and tubular
parts of the cardan shall have the same length.
Do not stop the rotation of the PTO of the
tractor suddenly, except for safety reasons.
The sudden stop can damage the transmission
system of the equipment.
Do not use the chains to transport or support
cardan transmission when work is done. Use
proper support.
Fit the male and female parts of the cardan
shaft and fit the female side to the PTO shaft
of the shredder and then fit the male cardan
shaft to the PTO shaft of the tractor until the
click is heard, showing that it is in the correct
coupling position on both sides.
After mounting and adjusting the protection
currents, move the hydraulic inclination of
the tractor and check the clearance between
the male and female gimbal by placing the
machine at the recommended inclination of
a maximum of 15 °.
Notice that as the machine moves the
cardan shaft male and female approach to
the point of leaning, if this happens, turn off
the power take off immediately. Remove the
male and female cardan shaft and re-cut, in
order to leave a minimum clearance of 1 to
2 centimeters between the cardan shaft tips.
It is not recommended to work with the male
and female cardan shafts without clearance;
this can damage the tractor and shredder
PTO shafts. To perform maneuvers, remove
one of the cardan shaft parts.
