Never use a water jet to clean the equipment, as it

can damage the electric circuits of the engine. Use a
damp cloth and mild detergent.

Carefully read instructions and get familiar with the

Remember that the operator or user is responsible

for any accident or damage involving third parties
or their property.
To obtain a satisfactory result with optimum

performance, use one of the height adjustment
positions as per page 41.
Always check the tightness of the screws.

Do not grass to build up under the aerator base.

With the machine off, remove excess bristles of

synthetic grass from the cutting set.
Preserve your equipment. Always check if the

movable parts are fixed, if any component is
damaged or check for any other condition that
may affect its optimum operation. Should any
problem arise, fix it before using the equipment.
Many accidents are caused by lack of proper
maintenance.
Do not use aerator when grass is still moist, since

it may damage the equipment e and lawn.
When the grass is very high, cut it in stages using

TRAPP lawn mower, to perform appropriate
aeration.
Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling the

unit towards you, it is not recommended to reverse
while holding the aerator on.

Attention!
To use AR-40 in synthetic lawns is extremely
important to work in the same direction of
the grass carpets seam and adjust aeration
height properly (see page 41). Otherwise
you can damage the lawn.
After using aerator on synthetic lawn, to obtain

optimum result the small rubber balls can be
better distributed under the lawn using a TRAPP
garden broom in the opposite direction of
aeration.
Use the equipment according to the instructions

contained in this manual, taking into account the
working conditions and the work to be
performed.
The use of the equipment for activities not covered

in this manual may result in dangerous situations.
This aerator is equipped with 4-stroke gasoline

engine - Do not use oil mixed with fuel.
The engine is shipped without oil and fuel.

Spare parts - Always use parts and maintenance

services from TRAPP Technical Support teams.
Attention!
Whenever performing any cleaning or

maintaining, first make sure that the
engine is off and the disc set comes to a
full halt. The disc set keeps rotating for
a while after the engine is switched off.
Disconnect the sparking plug cord.

Do not put your hands or feet near or

inside the aerator base.
