7. Operation

7.1 Connecting the UPS with Utility AC Power

If the UPS connects with external battery cabinets, make sure the
circuit breakers or switches of all external battery cabinets are
switched to the ON position.
2 Switch on the Input Breaker and supply utility AC power to the
UPS. Shortly after, the fans will turn on and the LCD initialization
screen (Tripp Lite) will display. The UPS will then transfer to
bypass mode. While in bypass mode, the BYPASS LED indicator
( ) will illuminate (yellow).

7.2 Turn On (Starting the Inverter)

Press the ON key (
) for 3~4 seconds. After hearing a beep,
ON
release the key immediately to turn on the UPS. After the UPS
completes its self-diagnosis, it will transfer to normal (on-line) after
approximately 10 seconds. While in on-line mode, the NORMAL LED
indicator ( NORMAL ) will illuminate (green).

7.3 Turn Off (UPS Shutdown)

In on-line mode, press the OFF key (
inverter, press the DOWN key (
the buzzer will sound once, and the system will transfer to bypass
mode. At this time, the bypass LED indicator (
illuminate (yellow). SHUTDOWN WARNING: The load will be
dropped at this time! Turn OFF the Input Breaker. The BYPASS
LED will turn off. After approximately a minute, the UPS will
then power off. To complete the shutdown process, remove utility
AC power.
WARNING:
The UPS may be removed only after the LCD screen is off, the fans are no longer running, the utility AC power is
removed and the batteries are disconnected.

7.4 Cold Start (Battery Start) Procedure
