At first, making an espresso coffee requires
a little skill and patience. Take all the time
you need to find out how your espresso
coffee maker works and how to make a
good cup of espresso coffee. Read the
instructions for use carefully before using
the appliance, and keep them for future
reference.

Safety instructions for connecting the
appliance
• If the cord is damaged, take the
appliance to a Technical Assistance
Service for it to be replaced.
• Check that the mains voltage in your
home is the same as that indicated on
the appliance.
• Connect the appliance to an installation
with an efficient earth connection. In
case of doubt, contact a qualified
professional.
• Make sure the cord is not in contact with
any sharp edges or hanging down. Do
not use the cord in a hot or damp place.
• Make sure the coffee maker is switched
off before plugging it in or unplugging it.
• Do not use or place any part of this
appliance on or near hot surfaces (gas or
electric hotplates, ovens).
Safety instructions for switching on the
coffee maker
• Do not leave the coffee maker
unattended while it is functioning. Keep it
out of the reach of children.
• Persons with nervous complaints should
be accompanied when using the
appliance.
• Before switching on the appliance, fill the
tank with water only.
• The drip tray and grid must be correctly
positioned before switching on the coffee
maker.
• Important! The steam pipe and filter
holder heat up while the coffee maker is
functioning and there is a risk of burns.
• Warning! During functioning, the coffee
maker is under pressure and there is a
risk of burns. Do not remove the filter
holder while the water is coming out of
the coffee maker.
• Do not use the steam to heat any
flammable liquids.
• Only clean the steam nozzle when the
coffee maker is switched off and no
longer under pressure.
