Battery Care and Replacement

You can recharge the battery at any time by plugging the power cord into a properly grounded, 3-wire,
hospital grade AC power source. The battery indicator displays the charging state of the battery. Bringing
the charge from a completely discharged state to above 90% of capacity can take up to four hours. To
ensure maximum battery power, keep the monitor plugged in to an AC power source when stationary.
The battery can be accessed from the bottom of the unit and should be replaced by qualified personnel only.
Philips recommends that the battery be replaced every year to guarantee optimum battery life. Disposal of
the old battery should follow local and national recommendations.
