Secrecy Function (mute)

During the call, press the key MUTE/STORE to interrupt the audio transmis-
sion on your phone. To reestablish the audio transmission on your call, press
MUTE/STORE once again.

Settings menu

1. On the rest mode, press MENU/ENTER for 3 seconds, to access the menu;

3. Press MENU/ENTER to confirm the definition;
4. Press ESC/DIALLED to leave the configuration menu.
Choosing the language
1. On the rest mode, press MENU/ENTER for 3 seconds, to access the menu
2. Press until the message "LANGUAGE" is displayed;
3. Press MENU/ENTER until the desired language is displayed;
4. Press or
5. Press MENU/ENTER to confirm the language chosen;
6. Press ESC/DIALLED to leave the menu.
Note: the languages available for TEX 516 i are Portuguese, English, and
Spanish.
Defining the area code
1. On the rest mode, press MENU/ENTER for 3 seconds, to access the menu
2. Press until the message "↑↓ AREA CODE" is displayed;
3. Press MENU/ENTER to enter the code;
4. Press to define the first digit of the area code, and press MENU/ENTER
to define the next digit. For example, for the area code 48, select 4, press
MENU/ENTER, select 8, and then press MENU/ENTER again;
5. Press MENU/ENTER and the message "↑↓ AREA CODE" will be displayed;
6. Press ESC/DIALLED to leave the menu.
Adjusting date and time
1. On the rest mode, press MENU/ENTER for 3 seconds, to access the menu
2. Press until the message "↑↓ TIME/DATE" is displayed;
