sembly is important to prevent risk of col-
lapse.
– Securely fasten the power tool to the
working stand before use. Power tool
shifting on the working stand can cause
loss of control.
– Place the working stand on a solid, flat
and level surface. When the working
stand can shift or rock, the power tool or
workpiece cannot be steadily and safely
controlled.
– Do not overload the working stand or
use as ladder or scaffolding. Overload-
ing or standing on the working stand caus-
es the stand to be "top-heavy" and likely to
tip over.
– Do not remove loose splinters, chips and
similar parts on the workpiece by hand
from the area around the rotating saw
blade.
– Do not use the work bench outdoors in the
rain.
– Do not saw "freehand", i.e. guide the work-
piece by hand without a stop or ruler.
– Prior to initial operation, make sure that
the portable circular saw is secured cor-
rectly in the retaining panel and that this is
attached to the CMS-GE properly.
– Always make sure the protective cover is
secured properly before operating the
CMS-TS-55-R.
– Use the push stick to guide the workpiece
safely past the saw blade.
– Support long workpieces at the removal
end.
– The tabletop should not be damaged in any
way (e.g. cuts around the saw opening).
Replace the tabletop immediately, if dam-
aged.
– Do not use the CMS-TS-55-R to cut fire-
wood.
– Secure round timber on either side of the
saw blade to prevent it from turning.
– Avoid overloading the portable circular
saw.
– Wear suitable protection: such as ear
protection, safety goggles, a dust mask for
work which generates dust, and protective
gloves when working with raw materials
and when changing tools.

Other risks
In spite of compliance with all relevant de-
sign regulations, dangers may still present
themselves when the machine is operated,
e.g.:
– Workpiece parts being thrown off,
– Parts of damaged tools being thrown off,
– Noise emissions,
– Dust emissions.

WARNING
Risk of injury, electric shock
Always pull the plug out of the socket be-
fore performing any type of work on the
machine!
The following section describes the process
of installing the portable circular saw in the
retaining panel and the basic unit CMS-GE.
Removal is performed in reverse sequence to
installation.
Before installing the plunge-cut saw,
move the viewing window/splinterguard
on the machine to the highest position.
6.1
Installing the cutting depth ad-
juster
Adjust the cutting depth stop on the por-
table circular saw [2-2] to approx. 30
mm.
Remove the screw [2-1] from the cutting
depth adjuster.
Slide the cutting depth adjuster over the
additional handle on the portable circular
saw, as shown in Fig. [3].
Adjust the cutting depth stop on the por-
table circular saw [2-2] to 55 mm.
Push the circular saw downwards until the
cutting depth adjuster rests on the circu-
lar saw.
Tighten the screw in the cutting depth ad-
juster to secure to the portable circular
saw base [4-1].
Set the cutting depth stop on the portable
circular saw to the maximum cutting
depth.
