Safety
− Always switch the deep fryer off and pull the power plug
out of the socket when you are not using the deep fryer,
cleaning it or in the event of a fault.
− Do not operate the appliance if the power cord shows any
damage or if the appliance works intermittently or stops
working entirely.
WARNING!
Fire hazard!
High temperatures are produced when using the deep fryer.
Old or dirty oil or fat is susceptible to spontaneous combustion.
This may quickly result in a fire.
− Change the oil or fat used in the deep fryer at regular intervals.
− Solid oil products, such as butter, margarine or animal fats
of any kind should not be used in the deep fryer as they
may overheat and cause a fire hazard.
− In the event of fire, put the lid on the deep fryer to smother
the flames or use a fire blanket or suitable fire extinguisher
for grease fires to extinguish them.
− Only use the deep fryer on a heat-resistant, level and non-slip
surface, e.g. on a kitchen worktop.
− Place the deep fryer on a flat, stable surface and always
hold it by the handles to prevent spilling out hot oil.
− Do not set the deep fryer up against a wall, under cabinets
or similar to prevent heat from accumulating.
− Make sure there is sufficient space around the
deep fryer so that it is at a safe distance to all objects that
could easily melt and catch fire.
− Never switch the appliance ON if there is no oil or liquid fat
in it. Otherwise the appliance may overheat.
