Replacing the DC plug fuse
➤Replace the defective fuse with a new fuse of the
same type and rating (250 V 5 A)
(fig. 7, page 6).

NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Never clean the cooling device under
running water or in dish water.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or
hard objects during cleaning as these
can damage the cooling device.
➤Occasionally clean the cooling device interior
and exterior with a damp cloth.
➤Ensure that the air inlet and outlet vents on the
cooling device are free of any dust and dirt, so
that heat can be released and the cooling device
is not damaged.
Troubleshooting
Fault
The device does not function
(DC mode, ignition on).
The device does not function
(AC mode).

Possible cause
No voltage was detected in the
DC power outlet.
The plug of the device in the
DC socket is too warm.
The DC outlet is dirty. This
results in a poor electrical con-
tact.
The fuse of the DC plug has
blown.
The device DC fuse has blown. ➤ Contact an authorized service agent.
The vehicle fuse has blown.
The supply cord is defective.
No voltage is present in the AC
voltage socket.
The device AC fuse has blown.
The supply cord is defective.

➤If necessary, remove the lid of the cooling
device for cleaning (see chapter "Removing and
reassembling the lid" on page 11).
Defrosting the cooling device
Humidity can form frost in the interior of the cool-
ing device or on the evaporator. This reduces the
cooling capacity.

NOTICE! Damage hazard
Never use hard or pointed tools to
remove ice or to loosen objects which
have frozen in place.
To defrost the cooling device, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the contents of the cooling device.
2. If necessary, place them in another cooling
device to keep them cold.
3. Switch off the cooling device.
4. Leave the lid open.
5. Wipe off defrost water.
Suggested remedy
➤ Ensure that the vehicle's motor is switched on.
➤ Clean the DC socket.
➤ Check if the plug is connected correctly.
➤ Replace the fuse in the DC plug (see chapter
"Replacing the DC plug fuse" on page 12).
➤ Replace the vehicle's DC outlet fuse.
Refer to the vehicle's operating manual.
➤ Contact an authorized service agent.
➤ Use another socket.
➤ Contact an authorized service agent.
