LOWER CASE ASSEMBLY

CHECKING THE BEARING

Check:
• Bearing
Pitting/rumbling

CHECKING THE SLEEVE

Check:
• Sleeve
Wear/damage

CHECKING THE LOWER CASE

1. Clean:
• Gear case
Use a soft brush and solvent.
2. Check:
• Water passage
Mineral deposits/corrosion
3. Check:
• Lower case
Cracks/damage
ASSEMBLING THE LOWER CASE
ASSEMBLY
1. Install:
• Forward gear shim 1
• Forward gear bearing outer race 2
Driver rod:
YB-06071/90890-06605.........
Bearing installer:
YB-06276/90890-06621.........
2. Install:
• Drive shaft needle bearing
NOTE:
Install the bearing with its manufacture's
marks or numbers facing outward.
