Plunge sawing
Requirements
• Soft materials such as wood, aerated con-
crete, plasterboard etc.
• Mitre angle: 0°
• Short saw blade
Procedure (Fig. F)
1. Place the device with the front edge of the
footplate (13) on the workpiece. The saw
blade (18) does not touch the workpiece.
2. Select the maximum stroke rate.
3. Turn the device on. Wait until the maximum
stroke rate has been reached.
4. Press the saw blade (18) into the workpiece
until the footplate (13) rests on the work-
piece.
5. Continue sawing along the cutting line.
General Information
With this order, you work safely with the sabre
saw and achieve a good result:
1. Clamp the workpiece. Use a clamping
device for small workpieces.
2. Draw a line to specify the direction in which
the saw blade is guided.
3. Hold the device securely by the handle.
4. Set the stroke rate.
5. Set the mitre angle.
6. Set the stroke strength.
7. Turn the device on.
8. Wait until the device has reached its full
stroke rate.
9. Place the footplate on the workpiece.
10. Slowly move the device along the marked
line, pressing the footplate firmly down onto
the workpiece.
11. Do not apply too much pressure in the cut-
ting direction. Let the device do the work.
12. Before shutting down the device, switch it
off and wait for it to come to a complete
standstill.
Switching on and off
Switching on
1. Insert the plug in the socket.
2. Set the stroke rate using the rotary wheel
(1).
3. Press and hold the On/off switch (3).
4. Lock the On/off switch (3): Press the lock
button (2) when the On/off switch is
pressed all the way down.
✔ The lock button locks.
Switching off
1. On/Off switch locked: Press the On/off
switch (3).
✔ The lock button (2) unlocks.
2. To turn it off, release the on/off switch (3).
3. Do not pull the sawblade out of the cut until
it has come to a standstill.
4. Pull the device plug out of the wall socket if
you are leaving the device unattended or if
you have finished working.
Adjusting the laser
Tools required
• Flathead screwdriver with narrow blade
(not included)

CAUTION! Risk of injury! Remove the

2. Connect the device to the power supply.
3. Press the changeover switch (26) until the
laser lights up.
4. Slide a small flathead screwdriver into the
opening for adjustment (25).
5. Move the screwdriver to the right to move
the laser line to the left and vice versa.
Align the laser line centrally with the V-
shaped notch on the front edge of the foot-
plate (13).
Transport
Information on transporting the device:
• Switch off the device and disconnect the
mains plug from the outlet. Make sure that
