Note 2: Automatic "By-pass" operation is deactivated when:
• The outside air temperature is below the summer mode activation hysteresis value.
• The "No-Frost" function is active (refer to paragraph "10.5 Frost protection setting - No Frost" on page 66).
In the example below, the activation temperature for winter mode is 6°C and the value set for the summer mode activation
hysteresis is 14°C.

You can also force automatic operation by setting the working mode to Winter, Summer or Ventilation:
• Working mode: Winter
Bypass is never activated.
• Working mode: Summer
The appliance only works in Free Cooling mode.
• Working mode: Ventilation
The appliance works in Free Cooling or Free Heating mode.
Free Cooling
If the extraction temperature (indoor air) is higher than the value set for comfort temperature, when the inlet air
temperature (outdoor air) has fallen at least 1°C below the extraction temperature (indoor air), the appliance
enters into Free Cooling mode.
The appliance will resume normal operation when the value of the inlet air temperature (outside air) is equal to
the value of the extraction air temperature (indoor air).
Example: Spring (morning)
Comfort temperature: 20°C
Extraction air temperature (indoor air) = 21°C
Inlet air temperature (outdoor air) = 16°C;
The system extracts the (colder) outside air without heat exchange with the (warmer) inside air. In this way, "free
cooling" is achieved thanks to the atmospheric conditions.
Free Heating
If the extraction air temperature (indoor air) is lower than the value set for comfort temperature, when the inlet air
temperature (outdoor air) rises at least 1°C above the value set for the extraction temperature (indoor air), the
appliance enters into Free Heating mode.
The appliance will resume normal operation when the value of the inlet air temperature (outside air) is equal to
the value of the extraction air temperature (indoor air).
Example: Autumn (sunny afternoon)
Comfort temperature: 20°C
Extraction air temperature (indoor air) = 19°C
Inlet air temperature (outdoor air) = 23°C
2. Holiday mode setting
Holiday Mode duration can be set in the sub-menu "Holiday mode setting" (duration can be set from 1 day to 30 days).
