Reverse Travel (Figure 18)
LOOK DOWN AND BEHIND, then gradually move both
ground speed control levers equally back from the Neutral
('N') position. Slow down and repeat.
NOTICE
Practice for several minutes before you try to back up near
objects. The zero turn riding mower makes sharp turns in
reverse as well as forward, and to back up straight takes
practice.

Turn a Corner (Figure 19)
As you travel forward, gradually return one ground speed
control lever back toward the Neutral ('N') position. Repeat
several times.
NOTICE
Do not return the ground speed control lever fully to the
Neutral ('N') position during a turn. This will keep both wheels
in motion and prevent damage to the lawn.

Turn in Place (Zero Turn) (Figure 20)
To turn in place, or 'zero turn', gradually move one ground
speed control lever forward from the Neutral ('N') position,
and the other lever back from the Neutral ('N') position, at the
same time. Repeat several times.
NOTE: How far each ground speed control lever is moved
forward or back from the Neutral ('N') position changes the
'pivot point' you turn on.
