3. Turning Anti-Tip Tubes Up
Turn anti-tip tubes up when being pushed by attendant, overcoming obstacles or climbing curbs.
a. Pull rearwards on the anti-tip tube, in order to seperate the two pieces.(A) that are under spring tension.
b. While the anti-tip tube is seperated, rotate the anti-tip up 180°and release. Make sure the 2 pieces
engage correctly so that the anti-tip is locked in place.
c. Repeat with second anti-tip tube.
d. Return the anti-tip tubes to the down position after clearing the obstacle.

I. ARMRESTS
Sunrise medical offers two different types of armrests. Fixed, and Flip-back removeable. Flip-back armrests can
be removed, or can flip-back to allow lateral transfers. The pads are height adjustable (1" increments) by pulling
on the adjustment knob and moving the pad(4) up or down to the desired height.
1. Basic Installation
a. Pull out on the rear knob(B) and slide the Rear armpost(C) into the receiver(D) mounted to the wheel-
chair frame.
b. Rotate the armrest forward, and insert it into the front armrest receiver. The armrest should lock into
place.
2. Armpad Height Adjustment
a. Pull out on the height adjustment knob(2) to release the pad(3).
b. Slide armpad up or down to desired height.
c. Release the knob and move the armpad slightly until the release pin is in the locked position.
3. Flipping Armrest Back and Removing Armrest
a. Press the release lever(6) and pull arm toward back of wheelchair.
b. To remove, pull the release knob(8) out, and slide the Rear arm(1) out of the receiver.
4. Replacing Armrest
a. Pull out on the release knob, and Slide the rear post of the armrest back into receiver.
b. Let go of the knob, to lock the release lever (3) to locked position in the armpost
