3.
Press the arm (11) down lightly (see Fig. 9). Insert
the saw blade (20) into the top saw blade holder
(25).
4.
Check the position of the saw blade pins in the saw
blade holders (25/28).
5.
Tension the saw blade (20) with the clamping
screw (10) by turning it clockwise. Check the ten-
sioning of the saw blade (20).
6.
Re-insert the table inlay (24). (see 8.1.1)
8.1.4 Removing the saw blade without pins (option-
al) (fig. 1, 18, 19, 20)
1.
To remove the saw blade, remove the table inlay
(24) upwards.
2.
First release the tension by turning the clamping
screw (10) anti-clockwise.
3.
Press the arm (11) down lightly (see Fig. 9, 20).
4.
Remove the saw blade by pulling it forward out
of the holders and through the access hole in the
table.
8.1.5 Inserting the saw blade without pins (option-
al) (fig. 18, 19, 20)
The teeth of the saw blade must always point down-
wards.
1.
Use the assembly device (26) and the saw blade
holder for the saw blades without pins (27).
2.
Place the saw blade holder (27) into the intended
recesses in the table.
3.
Insert the saw blade into the opening of the saw
blade holder (27) and tighten the two hexagon
socket screws firmly. Make sure that the saw blade
is clamped in the centre.
4.
Guide the saw blade with the two adapters into the
lower holder, the other end into the upper holder.
5.
Push the upper arm of the saw down slightly (Fig.
20, M).
6.
Tension the saw blade (20) with the clamping
screw (10) by turning it clockwise.
7.
Re-insert the table inlay (24). (see 8.1.1)
8.2 Checking the saw blade tension
WARNING
Check the blade tension regularly and after insert-
ing a saw blade.
Tension the saw blade after assembly by turning the
clamping screw (10) clockwise.
If the blade tension is too low or too high, proceed as
follows:
34 | GB
• Turn the clamping screw (10) clockwise to increase
the tension and anti-clockwise to reduce it.
If the tension is correct, the saw blade should produce
a light tone when it is "plucked", like a guitar string.
8.3 Calibrating the angle scale (fig. 12)
ATTENTION
Check the setting of the angle scale before working
with the device.
1.
To set the saw table, use a 90° angle bracket (29)
(not included in the scope of delivery). Place this
against the saw table and the saw blade (fig. 12).
2.
Loosen the star grip screw (13). Adjust the saw ta-
ble (6) until the angle between the saw blade (20)
and the saw table (6) is 90°.
3.
Re-tighten the star grip screw (13).
4.
Loosen the screw (30) and turn the pointer (31) to
the 0° marking.
5.
Make a test cut. Check the angle on the workpiece
with a protractor (not included in the scope of deliv-
ery). If necessary, readjust the pointer (31).
8.4 Installing the saw blade guard (fig. 6)
1.
Mount the saw blade guard (5) to the holder (4).
Insert the screw through the hole in the holder (4)
and tighten it using a Phillips screwdriver and a
screwdriver (not included in the scope of delivery).
8.4.1 Adjusting the retaining device
NOTE: The retaining device (22) must always be ad-
justed according to the workpiece height. However, the
workpiece should not be clamped, but should rather be
able to move freely. The retaining device (22) is used
to lock the workpiece so that it cannot swing upwards,
which would destroy the saw blade (20).
1.
Loosen the star grip screw (3) to adjust the retain-
ing device (22).
2.
Adjust the retaining device (22) according to the
height of the workpiece.
3.
Re-tighten the star grip screw (3).
8.5 Installing the blow-off device (Fig. 8)
1.
Ensure that the saw blade guard (5) is folded down.
2.
Connect the blow-off hose (1) to the connection
points A (2) and B (35) as shown in Fig. 8.
8.6 Inserting the batteries into the work lamp (Fig.
17)
1.
Remove the battery compartment cover.
2.
Insert the supplied batteries (9). Attention: Pay at-
tention to the poles!
