Fitting and adjusting the squeegee

To suit packaging requirements, the squeegee may be supplied di-
smantled from the machine, in which case it must be fi tted on the drive
plate on the scrubber-drier.
To fi t the squeegee, proceed as follows:
• Lower the lever 8 (fi gure 2).
• Insert squeegee pin 1a, 1b on the slots of the towing plate.
• For squeegee (A) lock pin 1b through split-pin 2 and insert it
into the hole of the same pin.
• For squeegee (B) lock pin 1a, 1b on the towing plate using
knobs 3.
• • Fit the vacuum hose 4 on the squeegee (A) or (B).
For good squeegee operation, it is important to set the ideal working
angle in relation to the fl oor. The rubber strip "C" on the back of the
squeegee must work bent slightly backward, as shown in the diagram,
so that the liquid is collected on the front edge of the strip "D".
For the squeegee (A) proceed as follows:
• Unscrew the lock-nut 5 and turn the knob 6 clockwise (tighten)
to increase the squeegee angle or anti-clockwise (unscrew) to
reduce the angle.
• Once the correct angle is found, retighten the lock-nut 5.
• The height of the squeegee can be set by adjusting nut 7, in-
creasing or decreasing the pressure of the squeegee on the
ground.
For the squeegee (B) proceed as follows:
• Adjusting the knob 8, clockwise (tighten) to increase the squee-
gee angle or anti-clockwise (unscrew) to reduce the angle.
The height of the squeegee can be set by adjusting nuts 9 placed on
the wheels, increasing or decreasing the pressure of the squeegee on
the ground. Use the same nuts to adjust the squeegee so that it works
parallel to the fl oor.
For a long rubber strip lifetime, use as little pressure as is necessary to
give a good level of drying.
