A1.5 BravoMATICoperation
Commonly marketed filters remove dirt accumulated in the bowl only, without cleaning the cartridge.
BravoMATIC, thanks to its brushing+discharge system ensure an effective cleaning of the filtering cartridge
too. BravoMATIC is equipped with an automatic cleaning system electronically managed, a timer and
pressure differential. This solution ensures the best cleaning of the filtering cartridge. The timer requires the
filter to carry out a back washing cycle when the set period of time has elapsed. Thanks to the pressure
differential it is possible to carry out more cleaning cycles than the ones set by the timer when the cartridge
get dirty in a very short time. BravoMATIC has a button that allows one starting a backwashing at any time.
During the filtration stage water enters the diverter, descend through the cartridge from outside to inside and
comes out filtered.
During backwashing stage the incoming water is diverted and it passes through the backwashing filter, then
it enters a turbojet which distributes it evenly at high speed throughout the inner cartridge surface. The
BravoMATIC filters are available in two versions:
- with short backwashing interval: the waiting time between two consecutive cleaning cyclesis
adjustable and it can be set to2 or 4 or 6 or 8 hours;
- with long backwashing interval: the waiting time between two consecutive cleaning cycles is
adjustable and it can be set 12 or 24 or 36 or 48 hours.
Thanks to a D.I.P switch system (Dual In-Line Package) it is possible to modify the waiting time between two
consecutive cleaning cycles. BravoMATIC is equipped with a voltage free contact activated in advance with
respect to the backwashing cycle starting. This signal, anticipated with respect to the backwashing cycle
starting can be used to manage auxiliary equipment (e.g. solenoid valves, pumps, alarms, etc.). The D.I.P.
switch system allows to set the forewarning time with respect to the backwashing cycle starting (0 or 30 or 60
or 100 seconds).
The water consumption for one cycle is about 16 liters (referred to a 3 bar pressure).
