Sound and vibration values were measured in compliance with internationally recognized test standards. The exposure to the user in
a specific tool application may vary from these results. Therefore, on site measurements should be used to determine the hazard level
in that specific application.
Product and Accessory Use
Overload Protection
To prevent tool damage, the grinder is fitted with overload protection. If the grinder is excessively forced or the task being performed is too
great, the tool will automatically stop. If the tool should stop suddenly, release the paddle switch to reset the tool. Tool will restart when
actuating the paddle switch again.
Temperature Cut-out
Do not run the angle grinder at full load for a long duration, it will cause the battery pack to overheat. If the battery temperature range is
exceeded, it will stop working and will not restart until the batteries are cooled to a safe level.
Kickback Protection
During operation the wheel may interfere with material and in extreme cases and the operator may unintentionally pinch the tool in the
workpiece. The grinder will detect the abnormal interference and in order to prevent further damage, will automatically stop spinning
regardless of the paddle switch being depressed. To restart, release the paddle switch and detach the tool from the material in a safe manner.
Tool will restart after actuating the paddle switch again.
Electric Brake
The electric brake engages when the paddle switch is released causing the wheel to stop. Generally, the wheel stops within two seconds.
There may be a delay between the time the operator releases the paddle switch and the brake is engaged. Occasionally the brake may miss
completely. lf the brake misses frequently, the grinder needs servicing by an Authorized service facility.
Removing/Inserting the Battery
Always remove battery pack before changing or removing accessories.
• To Remove the battery, push the release buttons on both sides of the battery and pull the battery pack away from the tool.
• To Insert the battery, align battery rails to tool foot and slide inwards.
Installing the Auxiliary Handle
• Remove the battery pack before installing or removing the auxiliary handle.
• Thread the auxiliary handle on either left or right-hand side of gear housing.
• Tighten the auxiliary handle securely.
To reduce risk of injury, always use an auxiliary handle when using the tool and
hold securely.
