FITTING 2 BALANCING SPRINGS
The number of springs required for the balancing is indicated by the Tables.
The barrier is supplied as Pic. A shows.
1 - Unscrew the two ring nuts (Pic. B) and remove the lower balancing
unit (Pic. C).
2 - In order to release manually the operator, please refer to paragraph
"EMERGENCY RELEASE" (page 29).
3 - Rotate the gear, so that the screw comes into contact with the
opening stop (Pic. H).
4 - Insert both springs in the lateral tubular members (Pic. O).
5 - Fit the lower balancing unit, so that the surface of the two plastic
inserts comes into contact with the lateral springs (Pic. P).
6 - Screw the first ring nut, so that the side with the major smooth
surface comes into contact with the balancing unit (Pic. Q).
NB.: SCREW THE RING NUT AS THE TABLE INDICATES (TENSION
H - Pic. 4 - page 28).
7 - Screw the second ring nut, so that the side with the major smooth
surface comes into contact with the balancing unit (Pic. R), thereby
blocking both ring nuts against each other.
8 - Proceed with assembling the boom following the instructions at
"ASSEMBLING THE BOOM" paragraph.
