FITTING 3 BALANCING SPRINGS
The number of springs requested for the balancing is indicated by the tables at
page 26.
The barrier is supplied as Pic. A shows.
1 - Unscrew both ring nuts (Pic. B) and remove the lower balancing unit (Pic. C).
2 - Take the two round plastic inserts out of the central tubular member and fit them into
the spring (Pic. D and E).
3 - In order to release manually the operator, please refer to paragraph "EMERGENCY
RELEASE" (page 29).
4 - Turn the gear, so that the screw comes into contact with the closing stop (Pic. F).
5 - Insert the spring in the central tubular member (Fig. G)
6 - Rotate the gear, so that the screw comes into contact with the opening stop (Pic. H).
7 - Insert both springs in the lateral tubular members (Pic. I)
8 - Fit the lower balancing unit, so that the surface of the two plastic inserts comes into
contact with the lateral springs (Pic. L).
9 - Screw the first ring nut, so that the side with the major
smooth surface comes into contact with the balancing
unit (Pic. M).
NB.: SCREW THE RING NUT AS THE TABLE AT PAGE
26 SHOWS. (TENSION H - Pic. 4 page 28).
10 - Screw the second ring nut, so that the side with the
major smooth surface comes into contact with the
balancing unit (Pic. N), thereby blocking both ring nuts
against each other.
11 - Proceed with assembling the boom following the
instructions
at "ASSEMBLING THE BOOM"
paragraph.
