CARE AND CLEANING
OVEN
Be sure all cont rols are off and all surfaces are cool before
cleaning any part of t he oven.
Oven Int erior
The int erior of your new oven can be cleaned manually or by
using t he St eam Clean feat ure.
Spillage of marinades, fruit juices, t omat o sauces and bast ing
liquids cont aining acids may cause discolorat ion and should be
wiped up as soon as hot surfaces cool, t hen clean and rinse.
Manual Cleaning
Do not use oven cleaners, st rong liquid cleansers, st eel wool,
or scouring pads on t he int erior of t he oven. For soils on t he
oven bot t om and ot her enameled surfaces, use a gent le
abrasive cont aining oxalic acid, such as Bar Keepers Friend
wit h a non- scrat ch sponge. Take care not t o apply any
abrasive cleaners or sponges t o t he door glass, as it will
scrat ch t he reflect ive coat ing. The oven int erior and door
glass may be cleaned using a soft clot h wit h a mild soap and
wat er, or vinegar and wat er solut ion. Aft er cleaning, rinse
wit h clean wat er and dry wit h a soft clot h.
St eam Clean
The St eam Clean feat ure is for cleaning light soil from your
oven.
To use t he St eam Clean feat ure:
1.
St art wit h t he oven at room t emperat ure.
2.
Wipe excess grease and soils from t he oven.
3.
Pour 1 cup of wat er ont o t he bot t om of t he oven.
4.
Close t he door.
5.
Turn t he Oven Mode select or knob t o St eam Clean.
Do not open t he door during t he St eam Cleaning cycle. At
t he end of t he St eam Clean cycle, soak up t he remaining
wat er, and wipe t he moist ure- soft ened soil from t he oven
walls and door.
Oven Ext erior
Do not use oven cleaners, abrasive cleansers, st rong liquid
cleansers, st eel wool, plast ic scouring pads or cleaning
powders on t he int erior or ext erior of t he oven. Clean wit h
a mild soap and wat er or a 50/ 50 solut ion of vinegar and
wat er. Rinse wit h clean wat er and dry wit h a soft clot h.
When cleaning surfaces, make sure t hat t hey are at room
t emperat ure and not in direct sunlight .

Oven Racks
All oven racks may be cleaned by hand wit h an abrasive
cleaner or st eel wool.
Aft er cleaning t he racks, use a soft clot h or paper t owel
t o rub a small amount of veget able oil on t he left and right
edges of t he rack. This will ensure t he racks are easy t o slide
in and out of t he oven.
COOKTOP
Cont rol Panel and Knobs
Wipe t he cont rol panel aft er each use of t he oven wit h a
damp clot h. For cleaning, use mild soap and wat er or a 50/ 50
solut ion of vinegar and wat er. Rinse wit h clean wat er. Polish
dry wit h a soft clot h.

Do not use abrasive cleansers, st rong liquid cleansers, plast ic
scouring pads or oven cleaners on t he cont rol panel—t hey
will damage t he finish.
St ainless St eel Surfaces (on some models)
Do not use a st eel wool pad; it will scrat ch t he surface.
To clean t he st ainless st eel surface, use warm sudsy wat er or
a st ainless st eel cleaner or polish. Always wipe t he surface in
t he direct ion of t he grain. Follow t he cleaner inst ruct ions for
cleaning t he st ainless st eel surface.
Cleaners wit h oxalic acid such as Bar Keepers Friend Soft
Cleanser™ will remove surface rust , t arnish and small
blemishes. Use only a liquid cleanser free of grit and rub in
t he direct ion of t he brush lines wit h a damp, soft sponge.

For easier cleaning, t he cont rol knobs may be removed by
pulling t hem direct ly out wards once t he knobs are in t he OFF
posit ion. Do not pull knobs up or down or hang object s on
t hem. This can damage t he gas valve shaft . When removing
t he t ri- ring (on some models) and t he dual- oval (on some
models) burner knobs, remember t heir locat ion. While all
ot her knobs are int erchangeable, t hese knobs must be placed
in t he same locat ion aft er cleaning. See t he Surface Burner
sect ion for a det ailed view of t hese knobs. The knobs can be
washed by hand wit h soap and wat er or in a dishwasher.
